Optimal Health Care is licensed in the State of Maryland to be your Fingerprinting service provider! We offer LiveScan, Ink, and Mobile Fingerprint (FP) Services.

We can also partner with you or your agency to streamline the background check process for your employees through our Fingerprint Preferred Partner Program.

Fingerprinting services

Livescan

Live Scan is an inkless, electronic means of capturing fingerprints in a digitized format and then transmitting them to a state repository such as the Maryland State Police and/or the FBI. Fingerprints are then searched against a state criminal history database and/or the FBI criminal database (where applicable).

Ink Fingerprints

Real ink fingerprinting on Cards is available only at our Hagerstown location., and scheduling must be done by calling our office: LiveScan machines are not used. These background checks are usually completed by residents of Maryland applying to work in other states. If you are unsure, please call us at 301-790-4962 Ext. 300

Mobile Services

Description: We offer a mobile option for our Fingerprinting Services throughout the State of Maryland. This option is available to groups of 10 or more people that need Fingerprinting services in locations other than our offices. We come to you and make the background check process that much easier.

Do you need fingerprinting services for 10 or more employees? Are you able to provide a well lit, secure room for services to be provided? We can help! We will bring all of the fingerprinting equipment needed as well as the PPE (personal protective equipment to be used by our technicians) right to your business. Our staff are certified Fingerprint Technicians, fully trained in Infection Control procedures and able to provide safe, efficient services for each of our customers. With our expertise, your employees can return to work quickly and safely with the fingerprint services completed.

Preferred Partner Program

Preferred Partner Program (PPP)

Streamline your hiring process by signing up for our Fingerprint Preferred Partner program. Skip the process of reimbursing employees and instead send them with a referral to their appointment. The applicant will not be charged during the appointment. Your agency is instead billed monthly only for the applicants you send. No additional fees and no subscription required.

All applicants are required to bring:

  1. Valid Government Issued ID Card. For example, Drivers License, State ID, Passport, etc. (Must have)
  2. Authorization Number from requesting agency
  3. ORI Number of the requesting agency
  4. Download and complete this Fingerprinting Application Form

Licensing & Certifications

Optimal Health Care, Inc. (OHC) is a Maryland certified LiveScan private provider authorized by COMAR Regulation 12.15.05 and the Criminal Procedure Article §10-221, Annotated Code of Maryland; and enforced by the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, to submit fingerprints directly to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System for the purpose of obtaining criminal history records checks. 

All fingerprint technicians are certified by the State of Maryland, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Information Technology and Communication Division Criminal Justice Information System Central Repository.

Criminal history record information obtained under this program is mailed directly to you (Individual Review) or to the agency(s) of your choice.  This is based on the Agency number you provided at the time of fingerprintin

Refund and fingerprinting Cancellation Policy

If an appointment is canceled, a Cancellation Notification will be sent to the email registered on the website. Check your spam mail if you have not added Optimal Biometric, Inc ([email protected]) as one of your email contacts.

  1. Any cancellations must be made at least 48hrs before your scheduled appointment using the link provided in your email notification.
  2. If your cancellation is received 48 hrs before the appointment – you receive a full refund.
  3. If your cancellation is received less than 48 hrs before the appointment – a partial refund of $29.50 is retained by OHC as a service fee. 
  4.  You should expect your refund between 5-14 business days.

If requesting a refund, please provide proof of payment.

Please keep in mind that:

  1. Your email notification serves as proof of cancellation to effectuate a refund.
  2. If your cancellation is received less than 48 hrs before the appointment – a partial refund of $29.50 is retained by OHC as a service fee.
  3. If your cancellation is received 48 hrs before the appointment – you receive a full refund.
  4. You should expect your refund between 5 – 14 business days.
